Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a Coordinator in Baton Rouge, USA, to support IOC Operations by coordinating overtime coverage and creating daily schedules for load planning. You will interface with Dispatch and planning teams, develop shift bids, and manage scheduling across multiple fronts.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and strong analytical capabilities, with experience in workforce planning and proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• 3 years of experience in workforce planning and scheduling preferred.
• 3 years of analytical experience.
• Ability to work varying shifts, 7 days per week.
• Knowledge of shift scheduling and exception procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Proficient at preparing reports and studying facts.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications.
• Must pass FAA background checks for unescorted entry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate overtime coverage and support IOC Operations guide.
• Administer additional time for critical load planning and dispatch teams.
• Create daily schedules using Ascent workforce management software.
• Interface with Dispatch and load planning on all scheduling fronts.
• Create three to four shift bids aligned with yearly planning for load planning.
• Communicate operational plans and decisions for front-line staff.
• Update Workbrain for central load planning exceptions.
• Review crew attendance and coverage for load planning and dispatch.
