Job summary

Volt in Stockton, CA is hiring a Load Out Support for a full-time, temp-to-hire role. Work Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm with Saturday overtime as needed; pay rate $18–$20 per hour depending on experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), sick time, and more.

GED or high school diploma required; forklift and warehouse experience essential. Ideal candidates will be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when needed, maintain clean facilities, and support

Responsibilities

• Inspect railcars for cleanliness and report condition to Control Room Operator.
• Coordinate with truck drivers for loading of trucks/containers.
• Cross-train with warehouse and pay-loader operators.
• Follow Stockton Dry facility HESQ manual in all matters pertaining to this job.
• Assist in vessel discharges and maintain warehouse/terminal grounds.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Facility Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect all railcars for cleanliness and reports to Control Room Operator on their condition and fitness for loading
• Seek assistance when cleaning railcars
• Inspect all trucks for bed cleanliness and tightness of the tailgate. Reports any dirtiness or contamination to Control Room Operator for further review and action
• Coordinate with truck drivers for safe and efficient loading of trucks/containers
• Participate in all mandated safety training and exercises
• Cross train with warehouse operators and pay-loader operators and acts as back up to warehouse operators
• Read, understand and implement the Stockton Dry facility HESQ manual in all matters pertaining to this job
• Assist in vessel discharges at the direction of the Facility Manager
• Maintain the warehouse and terminal grounds in a clean, safe and efficient manner at all times
• Assist the maintenance operators in maintaining all warehouse equipment in a clean, safe and efficient manner at all times
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Facility Manager, including cross training with other members of the terminal staff and assistance with vessel discharges

Ideal Candidate

• Warehouse experience
• Forklift experience a must
• MUST have a GED/ High School diploma or equivalent
