Job summary

Builders FirstSource in Lake Havasu City, AZ, is seeking a Loading/Unload Associate to join our yard team. Under supervision, you will assemble load packages, prepare shipments, and ensure safe handling of materials for delivery to customer job sites.

Candidates must lift up to 80 pounds, pass forklift certification, read work orders, and follow safety procedures. We provide training, a supportive culture, and opportunities to grow your skills with a national building materials leader.

Qualifications

• Requires forklift operator certification.
• Knowledge of products to understand weight, shape and handling requirements.
• Ability to read and write to handle work orders and labeling tasks.
• Manual dexterity and ability to use simple hand tools.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for forklift driving and material handling.
• Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials and secures with straps or padding.
• Builds loads based on orders and vehicle capacity to ensure safe hauling.
• Reads work orders or follows instructions to determine materials to move.
• Moves materials using hand trucks, electric dollies or forklifts.
• Opens containers and labels items for correct identification.
• Lifts heavy objects and maintains a clean work area.
• May train less experienced Load Builders.
• Adheres to safety procedures and attends safety meetings.
