Job summary

Builders FirstSource Berlin MA Yard is seeking a yard associate to load, unload, and prepare materials for delivery to customer sites. You will build loads, verify orders, and move items between storage and the yard using forklifts and carts.

Safety compliance and accurate labeling are essential. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification, and at least three months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials onto pallets, trucks or customers' vehicles and secures with strapping or padding.
• Performs load-building by determining weight and placement for safe hauling.
• Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to identify materials to move.
• Moves materials between storage and designated areas using hand truck, dolly, forklift, or other device.
• Opens containers and labels items for correct identification.
• Observes safety procedures to prevent injuries and may suggest improvements.
• Other duties may be assigned.
