Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field with hands-on wet-lab research experience.
• Experience with at least two analytical platforms (HPLC/FPLC, DLS, plate-based assays, ELISA, Coulter counter).
• Prior experience with targeting ligands, ADCs, or high-throughput methods is a plus.
• Attention to detail, data integrity, and ability to follow protocols independently.

Responsibilities

Beam Therapeutics is seeking a motivated Contract Research Associate to join the LNP Sciences team. This role will directly support discovery and early development of lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery systems for both hepatic and extrahepatic applications. The successful candidate will contribute to the production and characterization of novel LNP and targeted LNP (tLNP) formulations using a range of analytical and bioanalytical techniques. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career scientist to gain hands-on experience in RNA delivery, particle characterization, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced biotech environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Execute established analytical assays to generate high-quality, reproducible characterization data for LNP and targeted LNP (tLNP) formulations (e.g., plate-based assays, DLS, HPLC/FPLC, ELISA, and related particle analysis methods)
• Prepare LNP samples and test articles in accordance with defined protocols, ensuring consistency, throughput, and data quality
• Record, organize, and report experimental results in a timely manner
• Maintain an accurate and well-organized electronic lab notebook
• Collaborate with scientists to support study execution, manage workload, and meet project timelines
• Present results and key observations in team meetings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field with hands-on wet-lab research experience
• Experience with at least two of the following: HPLC/FPLC, DLS, plate-based assays, ELISA, Coulter counter, or similar analytical platforms
• Prior experience with targeting ligands, binder conjugation, antibody drug conjugates (ADCs), or high throughput methods is a strong plus
• Prior experience with LNPs, cell and gene therapy, protein biotherapeutics, or related systems is a plus
• High attention to detail, organization, and data integrity, particularly in executing repeat experiments
• Demonstrated ability to follow established protocols independently and deliver results reliably in a fast-paced environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset
