Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to be based on the company's offshore Fast LNG asset in Mexico. This position also requires them to work at the Mexico City or Houston Office locations. As the Maintenance Manager, you will be a self-starter with a solution-oriented mentality to help guide our teams towards being a learning organization through defect elimination and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  2. Be an integral part of the site leadership and support the development and execution strategies towards world class, safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations
  3. Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy for all mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems at the LNG facility.
  4. Schedule and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
  5. Ensure the reliability and availability of critical equipment, including compressors, pumps, turbines, heat exchangers, and cryogenic systems.
  6. Lead, manage, and mentor a team of maintenance engineers, technicians, and contractors.
  7. Assign responsibilities, track performance, and ensure team members are trained on equipment and safety protocols.
  8. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, national, and international regulations, including environmental, health, and safety standards.
  9. Drive adherence to industry best practices and standards, including API, NFPA, OSHA, and ISO.
  10. Implement safety programs to prevent incidents and manage risk effectively.
  11. Prepare and manage the maintenance department's budget, including capital and operational expenditures.
  12. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
  13. Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to track maintenance activities, asset performance, and equipment downtime.
  14. Analyze performance data to identify trends, predict failures, and implement improvement initiatives.
  15. Develop and execute contingency plans for unexpected equipment failures or emergencies to minimize operational disruptions.
  16. Collaborate with other departments to respond effectively to incidents.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 10 years of maintenance experience in the oil and gas or LNG industry, Refineries, or Power Generation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  2. Proven expertise in maintaining cryogenic systems, rotating equipment, and other LNG-specific technologies.
  3. Proficiency with maintenance planning tools and CMMS software.
  4. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems in LNG facilities.
  5. Familiarity with HAZOP studies, risk assessments, and safety management systems.
  6. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  7. Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  8. Capable of managing multiple priorities and working in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Available to work offshore 50% of the time on FLNG facilities
  10. 10+ years of experience at a Supervisory level or higher
  11. 10+ years' experience with the surveillance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, removal and reinstatement of oil and gas equipment, preferably in LNG or other cryogenic facilities
  12. 10+ years' hands on experience in a Maintenance discipline
  13. In depth knowledge regarding safety in the execution of maintenance activities.
  14. Experience in carrying out predictive maintenance techniques and initial evaluation
  15. Conversant with best practices for high availability of Power Management and electrical devices, process control devices, and fixed and rotating mechanical equipment.
  16. Familiarity codes and standards for fixed and floating offshore facilities will be a plus.
  17. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  18. Knowledge and experience in the development of CMMS Applications and maintaining high levels of compliance to Schedules, high quality execution of work and timely reporting
  19. Ability to lead and motivate maintenance craft as well as contract maintenance support personnel to create a culture of safety and excellence.
