Job summary

Bechtel invites applications for a construction supervision role on LNG plant projects in the US Gulf Coast region. You will lead a team of superintendents and craft professionals, direct craft activities, and coordinate subcontract work to meet schedules and budgets.

Requires a bachelor's degree or international equivalent with 8–14 years of relevant experience, plus LNG site experience along the Gulf Coast.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
• Knowledge of Bechtel's Zero Accident Philosophy. Knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisor's ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes.
• Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
• Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.
• Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction is preferred.
• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise discipline teams on site.
• Supervises and/or directs craft activities as assigned.
• Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft.
• Determines workforce requirements.
• Coordinates established area operational plans.
• Monitors tool and equipment usage on the site.
• Prepares Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures that the crafts have the tools they require to be productive.
• Ensures the most current design document is used and changes approved prior to implementation.
• Ensures subcontractors' performance complies with specifications, schedules and budgets.
• Works with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals to interpret Engineering design documents.
• Coordinates engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
