Job summary

The Culinary Institute of America is seeking an Instructional Design Generalist to provide instructional technology, LMS course-building, and course quality support for the School of Graduate & Professional Studies. You will help develop, maintain, and deliver online courses across Moodle and Brightspace, guiding faculty from design to pre-launch quality checks.

Under the Instructional Design & Academic Operations Manager, you will troubleshoot LMS issues, create templates, and ensure

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Information Systems, or related field.
2–4 years of experience administering or supporting a learning management system.
Experience with Moodle and/or Brightspace preferred.

Responsibilities

Build, update, and maintain SGPS course content in Moodle, Brightspace, and related platforms.
Create and revise course shells, modules, units, activities, quizzes, and resources.
Upload, format, organize, and test instructional materials including media and templates.
Support course copy, refresh, and launch preparation processes.
Assist with user access, visibility, release conditions, and basic LMS configuration.
Provide Tier 1–2 troubleshooting for faculty, staff, and students.
Ensure courses are accessible and aligned with WCAG/UDL standards.
Develop and maintain templates, rubrics, and reusable instructional resources.
