Job summary

The Instructional Design Generalist at Culinary Institute of America provides dedicated instructional technology support for SGPS, building and maintaining online courses across Moodle and Brightspace. Working under the Instructional Design & Academic Operations Manager, you ensure courses are accessible, functional, and ready for students.

Responsibilities include creating course shells, troubleshooting LMS issues, and assisting faculty with course navigation and resources.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Information Systems, or related field.
2–4 years of experience administering, building, or supporting an LMS (Moodle/Brightspace preferred).
Experience in higher education or online learning environments is preferred.
Familiarity with CIA tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Camtasia, and other multimedia platforms.

Responsibilities

Build, update, and maintain SGPS course content in Moodle, Brightspace, and related platforms.
Create and revise course shells, modules, and activities per Operations Manager guidance.
Upload and test instructional materials including media, rubrics, and templates.
Provide Tier 1–2 LMS support to faculty, staff, and students.
Ensure course materials meet WCAG/UDL accessibility standards.
Assist with course launch prep, copies, migrations, and templates.
