Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technology field, education, or related field or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Hands-on experience with learning management systems.
  • Experience supporting a diverse population of users with varying levels of technical proficiency.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and maintain professionalism in high‑pressure situations.
  • Experience consulting with instructors, faculty, staff to identify needs and support instructional technologies.
  • Experience communicating technical concepts clearly through consultations, workshops, or documentation.
  • Working knowledge of instructional design, online course development, and digital accessibility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct technical support and hands-on troubleshooting for users in the LMS.
  • Escalate and monitor complex system issues to vendor technical support.
  • Work with users 1-on-1 to provide recommendations for course design and best practices.
  • Support administrative utilization of the LMS through course merges and enrollment changes.
  • Monitor vendor changes to the LMS and document impact for end-users.
  • Escalate issues and share solutions with colleagues in the LMS team.
  • Maintain useful how-to documentation and tutorials for LMS use.
  • Support external learning tools integration within the LMS and provide training.
  • Pull and share relevant data from the LMS when accessible.
  • Administer LMS accounts, roles, permissions, and tool access.
  • Monitor student information system data and adjust enrollments as required.
  • Consult with administrative stakeholders on governance and tool selection.
  • Develop and deliver workshops and trainings for LMS utilization.
  • Collaborate with campus partners on enterprise educational technology initiatives.
  • Support non-credit programming and training for staff and faculty.
