Job summary

University of California, Santa Cruz seeks a College Programs Coordinator to advance the residential college model through development of educational programs, traditions, and student leadership opportunities. You will support living-learning communities and collaborate with faculty, staff, and campus partners to connect learning beyond the classroom.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience/ training.
• Demonstrated experience planning, implementing and evaluating largescale programs and events, preferably within a College or University setting.
• Demonstrated excellent organizational and time management skills: ability to independently manage a variety of projects with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Leads the development, implementation, and assessment of co-curricular experiences that support the mission, values, and educational themes of assigned college pair communities.
• Helps develop and maintain the College Model Plans that articulate college themes, learning goals, traditions, signature experiences, student leadership opportunities, and community engagement strategies.
• Collaborates with College Provosts, faculty, academic advisors, Residential Life staff, and other college personnel to create meaningful connections between curricular and co-curricular learning.
• Supports the development and implementation of Living Learning Communities and other educational initiatives that enhance student learning and belonging.
• Identifies opportunities to integrate college themes into student experiences throughout the academic year.
