Job summary

University of California, Santa Cruz is seeking a Coordinator for Student Staff Training and Development within College Student Life (CSL) to lead comprehensive training initiatives for residential staff. The role emphasizes holistic development, community engagement, and collaborative program design.

The position collaborates with ARCH and CSL leadership to ensure inclusive training aligned with campus priorities and student success goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience in student affairs, residential life, or training and development in higher education.
• Ability to develop and implement training modules focusing on communication, leadership, DEI, and mental health awareness.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate ongoing training programs for CSL/ARCH student staff, focusing on personal development, community engagement, crisis response, and conflict resolution.
• Develop and implement training modules addressing competencies such as communication, leadership, diversity, equity, inclusion, and mental health awareness.
• Foster a student-centered training model emphasizing holistic development of student staff.
• Collaborate with CSL staff to assess training needs and design content and delivery strategies accordingly.
• Ensure training content is updated to reflect current best practices and institutional priorities.
