Job summary

UC Santa Cruz is seeking a Coordinator for Student Staff Training and Development within College Student Life. The role focuses on holistically training residential staff, fostering collaboration across units, and aligning programs with student development goals.

The position emphasizes inclusive program design, ongoing support for staff, and partnership with CAPS, Campus Safety, and other divisions to enhance living environments for students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience.
• Experience in student affairs, residential life, or training and development in higher education.
• Experience facilitating training programs for students in leadership and community development.
• Ability to collaborate with campus partners including staff, faculty, and administrative units.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate multiple training events.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate ongoing training programs for CSL/ARCH student staff with focus on personal development and community engagement.
• Develop modules addressing communication, leadership, diversity, equity, inclusion, and mental health awareness.
• Foster a student-centered training model and assess needs with CSL staff to tailor content.
• Collaborate with CSL/ARCH and other departments to integrate academic content into training.
• Maintain training materials and records, and report on training outcomes and impact.
