Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Department Lead to manage a department’s operations, including inventory, pricing, merchandising, and customer engagement. You will ensure displays meet standards, maintain stock levels, and support a high-quality shopping experience across busy periods.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in retail, strong communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills. This role requires flexibility for varied hours, including weekends, to support store needs.

• 2+ years of retail experience in a department role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to convey information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the indoor merchandising guide to maintain department displays and standards.
• Monitor inventory levels, perform stock counts, and replenish from stockroom.
• Oversee recovery to keep the department neat and visually appealing.
• Coordinate price changes and update pricing labels and signage.
• Manage playbook feature implementations and planogram sets.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety protocols within the department.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist with inquiries and product location.
• Assist at the front end with transactions or loadouts as needed.
• Operate office equipment and retail devices as required.
• Participate in cross-training and learning initiatives to stay current.
