Job summary

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks a Peer Support Specialist to partner with individuals pursuing treatment and connect them to MAT services in downtown Denver. The role emphasizes harm reduction and client-centered care, leveraging lived experience to foster hope and engagement.

Work primarily in clinic settings with outreach in the community, providing mentorship, advocacy, and coordination of supportive services to help clients achieve realistic recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Peer Specialist training program preferred.
• Experience using lived experience to support recovery and engagement.
• Ability to document services in EHR and maintain client charts.
• Bilingual English-Spanish and/or ASL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides mentorship and support to clients using lived experience to build goal setting and problem solving.
• Facilitates counseling and activities for clients in recovery in individual or group settings.
• Helps clients coordinate integrated services including healthcare, housing, and behavioral health.
• Transports and escorts clients to appointments when needed using a CCH vehicle or approved personal vehicle.
• Maintains timely, accurate recording of services in the EHR and related systems.
