Job summary

PMY Group seeks a Broadcast Systems Designer to support stadiums, arenas, and large-format facilities with broadcast cabling and video production infrastructure. You will build expertise in LED/display tech and coordinate with senior staff on client-facing activities.

The role develops toward independent design and reliable collaboration with owners, operators, and contractors, while ensuring league requirements and project needs are met.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in broadcast cabling, sports video production, or LED/scoreboard systems or related fields.
• Foundational knowledge of video signal distribution (SDI, IP) and control rooms.
• Interest in deeper technical expertise in LED displays and broadcast systems.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and document broadcast cabling, video production, LED/scoreboard systems under guidance.
• Attend client and operator meetings with senior team members to understand needs.
• Confirm camera locations, viewing angles, and platforms meeting league requirements.
• Develop system architecture and drawings for cabling, camera, control rooms, and networks.
• Prepare LED/scoreboard layouts, including display sizing and resolution.
• Create cable schedules, calculations, and design docs; perform quality checks.
• Research products, compare options, and support design decisions.
• Produce and revise drawings, specs, and bid documents per project needs.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, acoustical, and other disciplines.
• Track RFIs, submittals, and project docs; escalate issues when needed.
• Participate in site visits and field documentation.
• Support on-site testing, commissioning, and system verification.
• Develop independence in design, coordination, and decision-making.
