Job summary

SSR is seeking an Audiovisual Broadcast Consultant to design and specify AV and broadcast systems for sports and entertainment venues. You will manage projects from scoping through staffing, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and top-tier technical quality.

You will develop AV architectures for in-venue production, live events, broadcast workflows, and archival needs. Collaboration with owners, engineers, and contractors is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or relevant field with five years of AV experience OR eight years direct AV design/administration experience.
• Experience planning and designing AV, broadcast and production systems for venues.
• Develop AV/broadcast architectures for in-venue production, live events, streaming workflows, and archival needs.
• Design audio systems to support broadcast-quality capture, mixing, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design audiovisual and broadcast systems for sports/entertainment venues.
• Develop AV/broadcast system architectures for in-venue production, live events, and streaming workflows.
• Design audio systems coordinating with house PA for broadcast quality.
• Conduct planning meetings to determine scope, needs, processes, and client expectations.
• Coordinate with PM/clients to define AV/broadcast scope of work.
• Develop design approaches, seek senior staff input, and research/evaluate AV products to meet client needs.
• Assist in budgeting and develop construction documents with technology designers.
• Communicate with owners/architects/contractors and review shop drawings for conformance.
• Perform site visits during construction to ensure compliance with specs and codes.
• Engage in professional organizations and stay updated on industry trends; operate ethically.
