Job summary

FOX Television Stations is seeking a Studio Technician (Per Diem) to support live broadcasts in a major market studio. The role involves directing the floor, coordinating talent, and operating cameras for live and taped programming in a fast-paced control room environment.

The position requires at least two years in a TV station with a year on a live newscast crew, plus flexibility to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Pay is $22 per hour on a per diem basis in Atlanta.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years at a television station with at least one year on a live newscast crew.
• Strong communication skills for directing talent and coordinating with control room under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to learn high-end broadcast hardware and operate studio equipment.

Responsibilities

• Floor Directing for live newscasts and pre-taped specials, managing talent cueing and timing.
• Coordinate anchors, reporters, and guests to proper positions safely and on time.
• Operate Vinten robotic pedestals and JIB camera setups for on-air shots.
• Control the ETC lighting board to maintain broadcast visuals and cues.
• Load scripts and operate the teleprompter system on deadline.
• Read and track live rundown changes and adapt to automatic or manual script updates.
