Job summary

FOX’s WTXF Fox 29 seeks an Engineering Technician to support live studio broadcasts, ensuring seamless transmissions and high broadcast standards. The role covers live production, equipment operation, and post-transmission reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree or 2 years of equivalent experience, with strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with broadcast hardware and master control workflows.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school preferred, or a minimum of 2 years of equivalent industry experience.
• Proven capability to operate a broad range of live production and master control equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills under tight, live-broadcast deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide live production support across roles such as Technical Director, Audio Board Operator, and Master Control Operator.
• Operate production switchers, robotic cameras, audio consoles, and automation systems.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve live feed issues, ensuring FCC compliance and quality control.
