Job summary

FOX 5 Atlanta is seeking a News Videojournalist for a per diem, part-time role. You will shoot, edit, and report on breaking news using mobile and studio gear, delivering content across our broadcast and streaming platforms.

Reporting to the Chief Videojournalist, you will work on high-visual storytelling, collaborate with reporters, and manage field transmissions with LiveU and LU-Smart. A Bachelor's degree and two years in a newsroom are preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum of two years of experience as a news videojournalist in a commercial TV newsroom.
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Shoot high-quality video, audio, and stills in the field, studio, and newsroom.
Collaborate with reporters to produce compelling news packages using creative camera, lighting, and editing techniques.
Present extended, unscripted live coverage from the field for our live stream using smartphones and LU-Smart gear.
Collect facts, obtain on-scene interviews, and operate ENG/IP live transmission gear during remote broadcasts.
Edit news stories on deadline in the field or in the newsroom using non-linear editing software.
Contribute video clips, stills, and story details to digital and social media channels; maintain field gear.
