Job summary

The Residence Life Coordinator at the University of Indianapolis is a full-time, 12-month live-on role within the Office of Residence Life. The position oversees assigned residential areas, student staff, and community development in alignment with the Division of Student Affairs and Student Success.

Responsibilities include direct supervision of RAs/ACAs, recruitment and training of staff, and collaboration with campus partners to promote student learning, engagement, and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising undergraduate and graduate student staff.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication with diverse groups.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise undergraduate/graduate paraprofessional staff (RAs/ACAs, GAs, desk workers).
• Recruit, hire, train, develop, and evaluate student staff.
• Maintain weekly staff meetings and biweekly 1:1 meetings for development.
• Set performance expectations and ensure compliance with policies.
• Provide indirect supervision to additional staff in assigned communities.
