Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. They reside in on-campus student homes, supervising 8-13 students and guiding their academic, emotional, and social growth.

The role requires a two-person married couple (27+), with daily devotions, weekend Chapel involvement, and duties including budgeting and transit to activities. Housing and meals are provided as part of total compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth is required.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds only.
• Valid U.S. driver1s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
