Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students, and help foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include supervision, routines, medication administration, transportation, devotions, and budgeting. The role begins with a nine-on/two-off cycle, then moves to a stable placement with the same student group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-person couple must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Experience working or volunteering with youth is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational events.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, initially.
• Transitioning later to a Placed Houseparent role with a consistent student group.
