Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full‑time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on‑campus student homes, guiding a group of 8–13 students and supporting their academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, routines, transportation, devotions, and budgeting. The role begins with a nine-on/three-off schedule and offers comprehensive benefits and housing.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year married couple minimum.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limits: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain driver certification for student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism as a role model.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
