Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking a couple to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents in Hershey, PA. You will reside in on-campus student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of 8–13 students, helping them develop academically, emotionally, and socially.

Initially, you will support multiple homes with a nine-on/three-off schedule, then transition to a placed role living with the same group. Benefits include housing, meals, insurance, and training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for legally married couples (at least two years).
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pets allowed: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreational activities with students.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
