Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will live in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for about 8–13 students, helping them grow academically, emotionally, and socially.

The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off, with potential to transition to a placed houseparent. You will supervise routines, transport students, and lead devotions and chapel.

Qualifications

• Two-person couple role; married for at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limits: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning engaging development/recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
