Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring Full-time Flex Houseparents. This two-person team lives in on-campus student homes guiding a group of 8-13 students, providing supervision, mentorship, and daily care to support academic, emotional, and social development.

Initially you’ll cover nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Benefits include comprehensive medical plans, retirement options, and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year married couple minimum.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreation.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
