Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks a dedicated two-person team to serve as houseparents for K–12 students from disadvantaged backgrounds. You will supervise daily routines, mentor students, and manage home operations within a structured, faith-aligned environment.

The role includes transporting students to activities, leading devotions, budgeting, and coordinating with staff. Couples must be married at least two years, age 27+, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• High level of integrity and professionalism; staff are role models.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and support student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and participate in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially support multiple homes on a nine-on / three-off schedule; transition to placed houseparent role.
• Live and work with the same student group in a dedicated home.
