Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking a dedicated two-person Houseparent team to live in and support a group of students in a supervised home in Hershey, PA. The role combines mentorship, daily routines, transportation, and activities to promote student wellbeing and development.

You will oversee devotions, weekend chapel, budgeting, and reporting while ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for students; a two-year married partnership is required.

Qualifications

• This is a two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational events.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially supporting various student homes on a nine-on, three-off schedule.
• Transitioning into a Placed Houseparent role with a consistent student group.
