Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our on-site summer camp kitchens. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, mentor staff, and ensure allergen safety across programs.

This seasonal, live-in position runs May through September, with 6-day weeks in a high-volume environment. Competitive pay, bonus potential, room and board, and travel allowances are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ready to live on-site in a rustic camp setting and work a demanding minimum 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage allergen protocols and top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
