Wolfoods is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camp program. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety in a high-volume kitchen.

This on-site, live-in position requires strong leadership, resilience under pressure, and the ability to thrive in a demanding 6‑day/70‑hour week. Benefits include room and board, competitive seasonal pay, and travel support.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking, ability to navigate iPad, versatile with ingredients, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ready to live on-site in a rustic setting, work a demanding minimum 6-day/70-hour week, thrive under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols and maintain Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
