Job summary

The University of Washington in Seattle is seeking two Resident Director live-in positions to lead and develop residential communities for 300–1000 residents. You will supervise 6–19 resident advisers, a small support staff, and participate in an on-call emergency rotation.

The role emphasizes equity and belonging, with responsibilities for training paraprofessionals and guiding student leadership. On-campus housing is provided as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• One year of residence hall supervisory experience required.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion and belonging in residence life.
• Experience supervising, selecting, and training paraprofessionals.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise, train, and evaluate 6-19 resident advisers, 1 OA, and 1 ARD for 300-1000 residents.
• Participate in on-call emergency response rotation year-round.
• Support Learn to Live community development through programming and engagement.
• Provide leadership to hall council and develop inclusive residence communities.
• Apply DEIB approaches in emergency and crisis response.
