Job summary

Beacon Management is seeking a dedicated live-in Superintendent for the Long Island City community. The role includes overseeing routine and preventive maintenance, supervising staff, and partnering with the community manager to control costs and stay within budget.

The position requires strong customer service skills, hands-on maintenance experience, and the ability to coordinate repairs with external vendors. This is an on-site, on-call role with housing consideration.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential property management is preferred.
• Strong budget planning and cost control abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic software tools.
• Ability to supervise maintenance staff and coordinate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee routine and preventive maintenance to preserve property integrity.
• Supervise and train maintenance staff; manage on-call rotation.
• Assist in budget planning and monitor expenses to ensure budget compliance.
• Maintain records of expenses, inventory, and service requests.
• Ensure timely completion of repairs and make-ready work.
• Manage vendor relations and contracts with approved providers.
