Job summary

Home Leasing LLC seeks a Maintenance Superintendent to oversee upkeep across communities in New York. This part-time role (24 hours/week) focuses on preventive maintenance, apartment turnover, and grounds care, ensuring safety and efficiency of all systems.

You will supervise Maintenance Technicians, process work orders, inspect facilities, and coordinate with the Community Leader. Experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry is required; strong teamwork and communication are

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Previous property maintenance experience required, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to work well with others, good communication skills, ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a Preventative Maintenance Schedule.
• Make apartments ready for new residents in excellent condition, but as quickly as reasonably possible to minimize lost rent.
• Prepare reports based on frequent inspections, outlining property conditions and maintenance operations.
• Maintain heaters, air conditioners and other equipment to ensure continuous service and safe operation.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on apartments, common areas and parking lots.
• Plan, schedule and participate in grounds programs including mowing lawns and trimming edges.
• Review and approve invoices and inspect buildings, grounds and public areas for cleanliness.
• Provide direction to contracted staff and manage work priorities.
