Job summary

Extended Stay America in Madison, WI is seeking a NSR Suites Part Time Overnight role. The successful candidate will respond to after-hours guest needs, ensure courteous service, and maintain high standards for guest satisfaction.

The position includes living onsite with a hotel room provided and on-call responsibilities typically within 30 minutes of notification, handling issues such as key access, noise complaints, emergencies, and after-hours check-ins.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to log events and prepare routine correspondence.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and the Hotel PMS system.

Responsibilities

• Work in a GSR capacity and setup and maintain breakfast from 5:30 AM to 7:00 AM daily.
• Attend to guests on call for check-ins, emergencies, guest noise complaints, and safety incidents.
• Maintain control of all hotel keys and safeguard against mishandling or theft.
• Log keys in and out when necessary.
• Assist with limited guest check-ins/check-outs, greeting and registering guests, assigning rooms, issuing keys, and collecting payments when necessary.
• Stay updated on hotel policies, training, and safety procedures.
• Provide directions about amenities, services, hours of operation and local areas of interest when needed.
• Perform bookkeeping tasks such as logging events and posting payments to guest folios.
• Maintain proficiency in location computer systems and software.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with first responders when necessary.
• May cover other hotels in the area during staffing needs.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
