Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our on-site summer camp dining operations, supervising culinary production, staff scheduling, budgeting, and allergen safety in a fast-paced kitchen.

This live-in, seasonal role requires strong leadership, hands-on cooking, and a commitment to food quality and sanitation across camp facilities, with demanding 6-day weeks and travel between rural camps across the US.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager certification with Allergens expertise required before start date.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage high-volume service and allergen safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, timely service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Manage food allergy protocols and sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory, orders, budgets, and daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Liaise between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership, and Wolfoods office.
