Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at seasonal summer camps across the United States. You will oversee operations, staff scheduling, budgeting, and allergen safety on-site.

The role requires 4+ years in kitchen leadership, ServSafe Manager certification (allergens required before start), and willingness to live on-site and work a 6-day, 70-hour week. Competitive pay, room and board, travel allowance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking.
• ServSafe Manager certification; Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, budgeting capability, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Enforce allergy protocols and sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory, food orders, budgets, and daily reporting.
• Client Relations: Liaise between kitchen, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods corporate office.
