Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents who will live on campus and care for a group of 8-13 students in a home setting. The position requires a legally married couple, ages 27+, to jointly provide guidance, supervision, and support to students while maintaining a family-like environment.

Responsibilities include daily routines, transportation, devotions, Chapel attendance, budgeting oversight, and ensuring student wellness.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role; married for at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older required.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff as role models.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in development and recreation.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
