Job summary
Wolfoods Food Services seeks an experienced Kitchen Manager for an on-site, live-in role at a rural summer camp network. You will lead daily culinary operations, manage staff, budgets, and allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
This seasonal contract runs May through September, requiring a minimum 6-day, 70-hour work week. You will be provided full room and board, and a competitive pay plus bonus structure to reward leadership and quality service to campers.
Qualifications
- 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking.
- ServSafe Manager Certification with allergens knowledge required before start date.
- Strong leadership, budgeting, problem-solving and high computer literacy.
- Able to stand long hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Willing to live on-site and commit to a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.
Responsibilities
- Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
- Ensure scratch cooking, portion control, menu specs, and timely meal service.
- Strict allergen safety protocols and top sanitation standards.
- Manage inventory, orders, budgets, and daily reporting.
- Act as liaison between kitchen, campers, camp leadership, and Wolfoods.
