Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager for a fast-paced, on-site role at rustic summer camps. You will lead daily culinary operations, supervise staff, ensure quality, and maintain allergen safety across all meals.

This seasonal contract (May–Sept) requires a 6-day, 70-hour week, with budget control, training, and a positive, high-energy leadership style. Room and board are provided, plus travel support within a vibrant camp community.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking.
• ServSafe Manager Certification; allergens knowledge required before start date.
• Strong leadership, computer literacy, budgeting, and problem-solving.
• Ability to live on-site in rustic setting and work 6 days / 70 hours weekly.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff, fostering a high-energy environment.
• Oversee culinary quality, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, timely service.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and strict sanitation standards.
• Control inventory, place orders, and monitor budgets and reporting.
• Serve as liaison between campers, staff, and Wolfoods corporate office.
