Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead daily culinary operations at our rustic, on-site summer camp kitchens across the US. This hands-on leadership role oversees all kitchen activities, staff scheduling, budgeting, and allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

The position is seasonal (May–Sept) with full-time, exempt status and a minimum 6-day/70-hour week. Live on-site housing is provided, along with meals and competitive pay plus a bonus structure.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certification; Allergens knowledge required before start date.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Oversee culinary flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Manage food allergy protocols and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, place food orders, control budgets, and daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods office.
