Job summary

Wolfoods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a live-in, on-site role at rural summer camp facilities across the US.

The position is seasonal, May through Sept, with a demanding 6-day/70-hour week and a strong focus on leadership, prep, and allergen safety. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage kitchen staff, run inventory, and ensure compliant food handling.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional baking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities; capable of using an iPad.
• Able to stand long hours and lift up to 50 lbs; ready to live on-site in rustic setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep, production, allergen safety, and timely meal service.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting; liaison between kitchen, campers, and camp leadership.
