Job summary

Wolfoods seeks an experienced Food Service Operations Director for a hands-on leadership role at rural summer camp facilities. This on-site, live-in position oversees daily culinary and service operations, staff management, budgeting, and allergen safety during a high-volume season.

Expect a demanding 6-day work week (70 hours), room and board provided, and opportunities to lead a dynamic team while ensuring top health and safety standards across all camp dining operations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certified (ServSafe Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored).
• Allergen safety compliance and top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Strong leadership, budgeting capability, and sharp problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train FOH and kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen and safety compliance; manage health standards and sanitation protocols.
• Manage inventory, place orders, control budgets, and track daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership, and Wolfoods corporate office.
