Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Residential life experience required.
• Successful experience in staff supervision, leadership development, advising, crisis intervention, counseling and hall administration

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with the Director of Residential Life and Associate Director for Residence Life to ensure community development and belonging.
• Provide personal assistance to students through advising, counseling, discipline and crisis intervention.
• Provide leadership to staff and students in developing a community environment (floor/ hall/ campus connections).
• Facilitate the educational curriculum for residential students (freshman to upper-class).
• Assist residents with issues typical to developmental level (transition to college, financial concerns, stress management, etc).
• Maintain high visibility by engaging with residents and staff activities.
• Support Residence Hall Association and Honors College Program as a resource.
• Ensure needs of residents are assessed and programs initiated to meet them.
• Maintain community development records for future reference.
