Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to student personnel, higher education, or similar
• Experience with residence life or student development is preferred
• Familiarity with campus housing operations and program delivery is helpful
• On-call duties and evening/weekend responsibilities may be required

Responsibilities

• Staff Development: recruit, train, and evaluate staff; supervise student staff; participate in staff committees
• Student Outreach: engage with students, address concerns, support wellbeing and retention
• Administration and Management: manage three residence halls, budget, facilities, occupancy, and communications
• Divisional Representation: collaborate with other campus departments; manage collateral duties and committees
• Leadership and Programming: foster leadership, advise student government, support campus-wide programming
• Counseling and Crisis Intervention: assist students in distress and refer to professionals as needed
• Policy and Discipline: enforce policies in a developmentally appropriate way, support RA enforcement
• Duty Coverage and Accessibility: serve on-call for emergencies; provide in-hall duty coverage and office hours
• Other Responsibilities: participate in administrative tasks like housing lottery, life safety inspections, opening/closing, etc.
