Job summary

Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment) is seeking a Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator to join our security team across MSG venues, including Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, Beacon Theatre, and other operation centers.

The SOC provides real-time monitoring, incident coordination, and threat identification to protect guests, employees, artists, and athletes. You will monitor CCTV, video analytics, access control, and alarms; conduct OSINT monitoring;

Qualifications

• Up to 1 year of related experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in a security operations center, dispatch center, or similar real-time monitoring environment.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Security Management, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of CCTV, access control systems, and alarm monitoring technology, including basic troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (reports, metrics, documentation).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to remain calm and articulate under pressure.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving ability with a detail-oriented, multi-tasking approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills and the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest experiences while adhering to appearance guidelines and on-site standards.
• Monitor and operate CCTV systems, video analytics, access control platforms, and alarm systems.
• Conduct proactive OSINT monitoring to identify emerging threats or reputational concerns.
• Maintain situational awareness of venue operations, events, weather, and external factors affecting security.
• Verify employee status and manage badge access as needed.
• Provide real-time information and video tracking for persons of interest (POI).
• Dispatch security officers, ERT members, facilities personnel, police, fire, and EMS as required.
• Evaluate incidents by severity and escalate per protocols.
• Support life safety incidents including medical emergencies and evacuations.
• Communicate timely information to stakeholders using approved channels.
• Maintain records of communications, incidents, and alerts; prepare shift reports and after-action docs.
• Operate and troubleshoot CCTV, access control, visitor management, and alarm monitoring platforms.
• Support integration and testing of new security technologies across venues.
• Generate data metrics and reports to aid leadership decisions.
• Participate in projects and maintain confidentiality where required.
