Job summary

On Location, a global leader in premium experiential hospitality, seeks a Financial Analyst / Event Accountant to own performance reporting for a portfolio of live events in New York. You will partner with event leads and Operations to turn data into actionable insights and support GAAP-compliant month-end close.

The role requires a finance or accounting background, advanced Excel, and the ability to manage large datasets across systems. Occasional on-site event work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Solid foundation in accounting, finance, and budgeting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency across Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage and reconcile large data sets across multiple systems
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once without sacrificing accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including presenting analysis to management
• Critical thinking and a resourceful, proactive approach to problem-solving
• Collaborative style, effective both independently and as part of a team
• Process‑mindful, with a strong eye for detail and for finding efficiencies
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in corporate FP&A, corporate accounting, or the live events / media industry

Responsibilities

• Partner with event P&L leads and Operations teams to manage event finances, providing clear and concise information for decision‑making
• Analyze operational and financial data, including monthly results, event projections, channel planning, and product performance
• Deliver weekly variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year
• Identify, consolidate, and manage reporting data from multiple sources
• Flag risks and opportunities proactively
