Job summary

Encore is seeking a Power Distribution Technician to perform electrical set and strikes for Encore and outside productions. The role collaborates with Exhibit Coordinators, Supervisors, Sales staff and Banquet Managers, and may support AV duties after power distribution is completed.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in customer service or hospitality and 1+ year working with power distribution equipment, with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• 2+ years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• 2+ years of audio-visual experience is preferred.
• 1+ years of working with Power Distribution Equipment.

Responsibilities

• Review, create and execute Exhibitor Order Forms, electrical and exhibitor booth diagrams/blueprints, and determine labor and material needs for events.
• Create and execute show load-in/load-out plans for Trade Shows and Production Companies.
• Set up, operate, and breakdown electrical power for sessions, labs, meals, events, exhibitors and decorators.
• Build custom cables and assist in fabrication of electrical components as needed.
• Troubleshoot and solve power issues when they occur.
• Cross-train AV Technicians in power distribution.
