Job summary

Legends Global, located at the Wilmington Convention Center, is seeking a Prep Cook to handle hot and cold foods under the direction of the Executive Chef. This hands-on role follows established standards set by the Food & Beverage Director and Executive Chef, ensuring quality and consistency for events.

The job requires at least a high school diploma, 2 years of food service experience, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Able to learn operation of all kitchen equipment.
• Strong knowledge of safe health standards.
• Strong knowledge of sanitary practices.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Produce high quality food in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an organized, sanitary workstation.
• Label and date food items for storage.
• Assist in prep of vegetables, baked goods, proteins, and salads.
• Minimize waste by controlling overage and usage.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards.
• Prepare all food for concessions as directed by Executive Chef.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
