Job summary

The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum is seeking a Part-time Maintenance Worker to support the Coliseum facilities in Electrical, HVAC/Plumbing or Audio/Visual tasks. You will follow directions from the Plant Facilities Manager and work with minimal supervision to complete daily maintenance duties.

Responsibilities include basic electrical troubleshooting, lighting changes, plumbing and HVAC repairs, and setting up sound equipment for events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Basic knowledge in designated area (electrical, HVAC/plumbing, Audio/Visual).
• Ability to communicate courteously with the public and staff.
• Computer knowledge and ability to learn Coliseum software.
• Ability to understand drawings for event setups.
• Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Own hand tools and safe use of power tools.
• Comfortable working at heights from ground to catwalk levels.
• Able to communicate well with the Plant Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Change light bulbs and electrical devices as needed.
• Set power per event specifications.
• Basic plumbing and HVAC repairs; some refrigeration work.
• Set up and operate sound equipment; identify cables.
• Repair or fabricate cables; potential video/lighting programming knowledge.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
